Making the Trails
what x-country skiing is missing are ski lifts, and medics. I got more exercise from beetling back off my back than the skiiing proper part but fun just the same

Yackety and Yap
Gadding about in the indoor greenhouse outside the Bank of Canada by a yap stone. It's a stone currency, a shimmering limestone that is not indigenous to Yap. The worth of a particular stone varies depending upon the size but also cost or difficulty of quarrying it. Did anyone die or get injured? Was it carved with seashells or steel? It may change hands but just stay put with word going around about who owns it now. It becomes a symbolic totem of thanks for a rare large expenditure of help.

Toes and Thyme
The impression of my toes captured with blueprint paper from a sunprint kit and scanned. The text was written on clear plastic like this.
So a self-portrait without a camera per se, an impression of self: My two left feet, toes, thyme and thanks be.
Step one, set up and wait for 5-10 minutes under overcast skies. Then an image ready to be rinsed and dried.
Developing after the paper is rinsed.

Searching the Shelves and Selves
Searching the poetry shelves at At Ottawa U. A borrowing limit is 4 books at a time is tricky but nice that you can borrow with the city library card.
I'm wearing my (Dodge Poetry Festival) poetry t-shirt, that which has the word poetry written in many languages. wish I could get another. never want this one to wear out.

Achy
and feeling blah, pinkeye, stomachache, headache, 3 hours less sleep than normal, yech. but hubby near, yay! sometimes working, sometimes reading me a story.
and the 5 km walk was good for me. and a sun dog in the sky. rainbow blotch of goodness.
just to add something more to the mix, I'll see if I can make the 365 an Abcedarian for February as well.
