Fangirl

fangirl

To share the screen with the great...who the Blockbuster boy had never heard of but Invisible Cinema worker, off the top of his head could ring off what movies of hers they had, and didn't and who directed. Specialists vs. chain stores distinctions are obvious again.

Doing a movie-a-thon of 5 of her films.

Lady in a New Blue Hat

Lady in a New Blue Hat

As seen thru glass blocks. Picassoesque, yes?

I've been looking for a hat not too heavy, not too tight, just right and I may have finally done it so I have an option other than baseball cap.

My tripod fell over and the camera fell in the water. I dried it off. It worked, for a bit, then quit. I dried it more. It worked then quit. Not sure how this drama will end but for now I'm back to my old camera.

ArtsPark Poetry Factory

typing a poem

ArtsPark, annual since 2004, has art and craft booths, music, food, and poetry. The Arc Magazine Poetry Factory ran all day with different poets taking a turn at the manual typewriter doing instant poems on donation from passersby.

Here's a different point of view: a pic by hubby. And a post I did on the event here.

Cheesecake

cheesecake
bought at 2 am because the grocery store's ice cream section was all blocked off.

Cheesecake imported from the U.S. seems a convoluted route for something simple.

What's for lunch?

what's for lunch?
This morning I had had more fingernails, but I nibbled.

The garnish of cilantro is from our planting boxes.

The newspaper is Muslim Link with a good article by Riad Saloojee.
